Learning & Development
1
Cyber Scheme Associate (CSA)
This three day course provides candidates with an introduction to the world of penetration testing. Candidates are provided with the theoretical underpinning of information security and introduced to the tools and techniques used in the process of penetration testing.
This course is suitable for candidates who wish to gain an insight into the world of penetration testing and do not necessarily need to conduct testing. It is possible to attend this course and subsequently top up to the CSTM by attending days four and five. Candidates may need to conduct some self-study to achieve this, however guidance and additional materials are provided.
2
Cyber Scheme Team Member (CSTM)
This five day course provides candidates with an introduction to the world of information security and penetration testing. As per the CSA course, days one to three cover the theoretical underpinning and days four and five are practical and assessment days, where each candidate will be putting the practical and theoretical skills gained to the test.
Candidates are taught the theoretical and practical aspects of penetration testing using a realistic hands-on scenario. This includes a mock penetration test against a fictitious client; although the client may be fictitious, the tools and techniques used will be real. From the moment candidates enter the class they will be introduced to the highly technical and sometimes not so technical world of penetration testing. Whether you are manipulating network traffic to grab passwords using Ettercap, intercepting WLAN traffic with Aircrack or seeking out vulnerabilities using Metasploit—you will find yourself in a fascinating and engaging environment designed to prepare you for the role of pen tester.
The CSTM course is designed to be flexible. Whilst the course runs for five days, it is possible to attend the first three days and undertake the Cyber Scheme Associate (CSA) exam. It is also possible to attend days four and five to undertake the practical and examination components (suitable for those with experience) and finally if you have the prerequisite skills and experience it is possible to simply attend the examination on day five. The Cyber Scheme training providers will provide guidance on which course is most suitable for your particular needs.
Candidates successfully completing and passing the related examinations for the CSTM course will gain CHECK Team Member (CTM) equivalence. More details of the examinations and CHECK are provided in the Professional Exams section.

Cyber Scheme Team Leader (CSTL)
The Cyber Scheme Team Leader course is intended for individuals wishing to progress within the cyber security profession with an industry recognised high-level qualification. Individuals will do so by demonstrating application of their theoretical knowledge and skills.
